    Deputy Principal ~ Inspiring and Engaging Leader

    Located in Sydney’s Upper North Shore, Northside Montessori School caters for students from early childhood through to year 6.     Your new role

    To support the School Principal in the operational running of the school and to foster a high quality learning environment for students an experienced primary leader is required for the position of Deputy Principal. This role is responsible for overseeing teaching and learning, accreditation, staffing, compliance and day to day operations of the school across Pre-Primary and Primary (Pre-k to 6).

    This role will commence by negotiation in 2018.  The school is flexible to commence someone immediately, or later in the school year as notice periods allow.

    What you'll need to succeed 

    To succeed in this important leadership role you will be:

     An excellent educator with proven ability to lead and inspire teachers in the delivery of quality Montessori educational programs from early childhood to year 6.

     A strong educational administrator who will be a key leader in the operations of the school.

     A leader who will be approachable and personable, engaging with parents, staff and students in a professional and warm manner.

     A strong administrator with excellent communication skills, essential in this role as you will be a visible leader in the school, engaging with the wider school community through effective ongoing communication and marketing initiatives, and standing in for the Principal when required. You will also have responsibility for the school timetable, newsletters, staff supervision and selection processes.

     A collaborative Deputy Principal who will work in close collaboration with the school Principal in achieving the schools strategic and educational goals, leading the teaching faculty to ensure the effective running and development of the school.

     Proven experience in leading Montessori educators across a K-6 context would be ideal. Formal qualifications in Montessori Teaching for 6-9, 9-12, or 6-12 will be highly desirable. You will be passionate about the Montessori educational approach and philosophy and have the skills to marry this knowledge and passion with the NSW educational standards.

     A fully qualified primary teacher with full registration with NESA and a proven leadership ability within a primary school setting.

    You are required to have unrestricted working rights for Australia and valid working with children check.

    Montessori School Murcia
